"Wicked Spring" comes out on home video and DVD on December 16, 2003 --Ardustry Home Entertainment will release this new action/drama and the movie boasts a broad cast of professional actors and Civil War re-enactors. It was filmed 100% in Virginia.
“Wicked Spring” takes us back in time to 1864 during the Battle of the Wilderness, where three Union soldiers and three Confederate soldiers find themselves separated from their regiment as twilight engulfs the ravaged battlefield. When the two estranged units meet by chance on the bank of a quiet creek, they strike up a friendship, and talk through the night around a campfire. But another battle is about to begin. When the sun rises the two camps are able to see each other for what they really are - bitter enemies!

This is also a first for this distributor (for a new release title of theirs to be bought for all of the BBV stores) -- an especially big feat since in the past three years, BBV has been cutting the number of Indie films they buy by more than half (they're sticking to the big titles these days, sadly, like "LofXG"). Everyone's very excited. This development has also driven Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery to purchase more copies. The movie has also been selling very, very well on www.amazon.com and has ranked fairly high overall for a no-stars, never released in the theaters, Indie film, etc. Along with amazon.com, the movie is for sale all over the web at more than 50 different on-line retailers such as Barnes & Noble.com, Best Buy, Circuit City, MoviesUnlimited.com, fye.com, cduniverse.com, DVD express, CivilWarStandard.com, etc.
Just do a 'google' search and shop for the best "pre-order" price. Right now, Barnes & Noble have the best price on the web, but that changes from time to time. You can also place "WICKED SPRING" on your rental queue at www.netflix.com Sales are going very well, and we're all very happy. Also, look for a BRAND NEW "WICKED SPRING" movie web site to hit the WWW in about 2 weeks... the url will be http://www.wickedspringmovie.com This new site will contain dozens of pages of all new content, tons of behind-the-scenes info, more than 100 color photos, eventually six different trailers, music clips from the soundtrack and history about the Battle of the Wilderness.
