Guerilla Film Unit Self Taught Film Boot Camp Volume 4

So maybe it was my rude and crude e-mail. Maybe the ill-preperations. Maybe the art of film is already lost. Maybe there aren't enough in-apathetic members of the public to fill a lifeboat, let alone the roof of a dumpster. Whatever reasons for the karma, rain was eventually the scape-goat for tonight's last minute cancellation.
Boot camp will attempt to surface again two weeks from tonight. Ye procrastinaters have been saved.
Those of you whose feelings were hurt in my last e-mail, know this: I judge myself in the same harsh terms, to speak to the filmmaking and potential filmmaking community in those terms is a symptom of my care. I care for film and the tales it could tell, my care for the institution of the Boot Camp is in doubt, however.
When Boot Camp was born three years ago, it was a combination of personalities. Max Narco, Daniel Bloomberg, Marissa Vrooman, Mendy St.Ours, Phillip St.Ours, Steve Johnson, Jerome Dane, and many others. We all had bad ideas. Put them together they were still bad ideas but at least we had group energy. Now its just me and my bad ideas.
That's an overstatement. There are several people who have shown their support. I think its my fault for not being a better organizer. Boot Camp can live, but it needs an organizer, and I think I'm in the process of turning down my own self-nomination to that post. I am planning to make movies every two weeks, however. I have begun work on an episodic feature length project about a couple of modern hobos and the neighborhood watch.
Can someone who wants to be involved but doesn't want to make the films please take over these mailings, try to find us a TV, benches, and all the other shit I can't seem to battle a couple of rain drops for?
